HOW IT WORKS...

Yhart Sale is like a yard sale (pun intended)

Basically I present my work here, and you can purchase printed versions of the pieces. Currently the product size is fixed at 5R. Variations may be available in the future.
--One for RM8
--Five for RM35
(for detailed info on pricing, refer 'Pricing' post)

Initially I wanted to sell soft copies since I'm all for digital art , but a wise person advised me not to do so for obvious reasons.

The following is a precise guide should you be interested.

PRE-STEP: View collection
All pieces can be viewed under the 'Collections' tab.

STEP 1: Placing Your Order
Every piece has a unique code, all you have to do is list down the codes in the Order Form (link at sidebar). Fill in the form accordingly.

STEP 2: Await Reply

I will respond by e-mail to confirm order and state the total price (note that prices are subject to change). I will also suggest a place of trade based on your location and mine (community locations like malls or cafes).

STEP 3: Finalizing Order

If you accept, simply reply the mail indicating your interest. The exact time and venue of trade will be decided through exchanging emails/direct calling.

STEP 4: Meet and Trade!
I will hand in pieces once exact amount of payment is made. Goods sold are not refundable. After that, you can treat me to a meal if you want to haha =)

* * * * *
I'm not business savvy, but I will find ways to improve the buy-sell system, making it easier for all.

Notice (Feb 2011) - I apologize for the lack of new material. Yhart Sale is currently NOT in operation due to my busy study schedule. However, new material may be available in the future!

Thanks for your support! :)

Theme: Cubbes!

Inspiration
Nothing in particular, really just something spontaneous. I like playing with shapes to make repeated prints. Had a blast mixing the colours, different combinations set a different mood.
Notes
cubbe_doubletile3 - inspired by the colours of 'Wow' in KylieX2008, almost like candy.

Not For Sale, Just For Laughs

Ahh... humble beginnings. The pieces in this post are not for sale, simply because I don't think it's worth selling. Nevertheless, I really want you to see my progression and how it all started.
Back then, the term 'Yhart' had not exist when I made these...

One of the earliest made. Notice I spelt 'Mosaic' as 'Mosiac'

Competalio ~ I actually like this. Follow up to the previous piece.

Hole in My Heart ~ I actually used this as a background for one my college power point presentations

Jurubtsu ~ As ridiculous as this looks, I actually like it. Abstract to the max rite!

Dotti ~ Someone told me this looked like shit. I kind of agree.

Overload in Space ~ Sigh... What a lousy piece. A baby could have made this.

Spheval ~ This is ultimate horror. Seriously WTF was I thinking???

Pallet ~ This is cool. Inspired by 'cendol'! Yum yum :)

This used to represent my love for someone. Now every time I see it, my eyes bleed.

Finally we have 'Flawweb' ~ This I like. Another abstract piece. Love the colour combination, especially the slight hint of purple on the left. Like a tease of what's more to come.

Alright, that pretty much sums up my early work. I hope u had a giggle. I sure did.

>>Submit Your Ideas

Here at Yhart Sale, an interactive approach is practiced.
I want to hear from you, whether it's an enquiry, suggestion, complaint or compliment ;)

Right now I welcome you to inspire me.
Inspiration can come from anywhere... a person, an object, a place, a picture, a song, an experience.
Being an artist in any field basically requires an open mind. With that, there are no boundaries. Art has no limits.

SO PLEASE, submit your ideas/experiences to yhart36@hotmail.com, and I just might create and dedicate an entire collection to your name.

I admit I have much to learn, but if this blog has inspired you in any way, perhaps to appreciate art, or to create your own art, then I have already fulfilled my goal.

Lots of love,
Yoong Hsiang.

P.S. Keep your eyes open, keep your mind open as well.

>>Pricing

This post explains the price of sale.
Remember all PROFIT goes to charity, meaning I only take back what's enough to cover printing costs (otherwise I'll go broke after some time). The rest is donated. I promise!

(As of 25 November 2009)
ONE piece of 5R sized Yhart costs RM8
FIVE pieces of 5R sized Yhart costs RM35 (in other words RM7 each for every multiple of five)
The 2 statements above will serve as rule of price calculation.

Examples (for the less informed)
Scenario A: Buyer wants 3 pieces.
Total price = (3 x 8) = RM24
Explanation- RM8 per piece.

Scenario B: Buyer wants 4 pieces.
Total price = (4 x 8) = RM32
Explanation- same as Scenario A.

Scenario C: Buyer wants 5 pieces.
Total price = (5 x 7) = RM35
Explanation- 5 pieces so promotion of RM7 per piece is applicable.

Scenario D: Buyer wants 7 pieces.
Total price = (5 x 7)+(2 x 8) = RM51
Explanation- First 5 pieces at promotion price of RM7 per piece, remaining 2 pieces priced at RM8 per piece.

Scenario E: Buyer wants 10 pieces.
Total price = (5 x 7)+(5 x7) = RM70
Explanation- 10 pieces can be split into 2 groups of 5, so that promotion of RM35 for five is used twice!

CONCLUSION
It is cheaper to buy in multiples of five!
If you want to buy 9 pieces, it costs RM67. So you may as well buy 10 at RM70.

HOPE THIS HELPS!!!
I know this full length explanation is unnecessary for the likes of my intelligent clients, BUT I'm doing this to avoid any misunderstandings or disputes in the future.
So I truly appreciate it if you read the entire thing =)

Inspiration
Strictly black and white. Playing with geometry, emphasis on symmetry and repeated prints.
